We change music from something you consume to something you create

Twenty years ago, who could have guessed about the world today, with such a large number of people casually taking photos and videos and immediately sharing them on social networking sites?
Now, all people with smartphones are taking their own creations into the word of photos and videos.
How about the world of music?
Unfortunately, most people only listen or watch, or in other words, consume, the finished content, and we are in a world which is indifferent to creating, performing, or sharing one’s own content.
It is true that places such as video sharing site Niconico, where formerly unknown creators can fairly participate in sharing music performances, are increasing.
However, those who have been consumers up until now do not have the talent to play musical instruments or become creators. Rather, due to the shrinking market of the music industry, both performers and creators have also been decreasing in number.
In the world of photos and videos, everyone is becoming a creator
However, with the introduction of the 8mm camera and disposable camera, the number of people and companies with high-grade equipment increased, and it became so that anyone, even if they were not a specialist, could easily take pictures and videos.
Then came the introduction of the Internet and smartphones, which was important, to say the least.
By not only taking pictures, but editing them and uploading them to social networking sites, the general population which had previously only consumed the finished contents became creators who could easily take photos and videos and display them to the public.”
The reality is that it is becoming a world where people want to perform music but cannot
These days it is often said that CD sales numbers are falling and the music industry is in a slump.
It is not only the distribution of CDs; according to a survey of basic social life, statistics show that the musical instrument playing population is sluggish, said to be only 5% of the population.*
Compared to the 60% of people who answered that they would like to begin playing an instrument, only 5% of people actually have. Sales of musical instruments within Japan are declining as well.
Even though there are chances to encounter music as a listener, it is not an exaggeration to say that the musical environment for players has greatly declined.

The next survey is planned for 2016.
The realization of a world where all people who love music can become musicians
We are making efforts as the Enjoy Your Sound business.
Many people are striving to be able to enjoy music in the midst of their ordinary lives by becoming creators and players.
That does not mean raising the level of the instrument-playing population by 1% or doubling it!
It means creating a world where, as the Internet and smartphones became a catalyst for innovation in the photo and video world, the majority of people will not stop at being consumers of music, but will be able to play instruments and become creators!
For that reason, EYS is bringing about the necessary innovation. We are implementing it through both the net and real life in the three industries of music study, musical instrument distribution, and entertainment.
5,000,000,000 musicians can join the music world!
